Media Objectives
Martin Campbell works as a media adviser for television, radio and newspapers alongside Media Objectives.
As Chair of the UK’s Broadcast Journalism Training Council, he regularly comments on media issues (BBC TV, Guardian etc).
After eight years in newspapers he graduated to radio as journalist, presenter and phone-in host before moving into management. Among the positions held were Head of Talks at BRMB (Birmingham), Head of Features at Trent (Nottingham), Group PD for Allied Radio and Managing Editor at Talk Radio (now talkSport).
He has run post-graduate broadcast courses and international courses at Radio Nederlands, and was the first Head of News at the IBA’s National Broadcasting School.
In the world of radio regulation he was the Radio Authority’s Head of Programming and Advertising before spending five years as Chief Adviser at Ofcom. He is a Fellow of the Radio Academy. www.martinlcampbell.vpweb.co.uk
