Smooth Operations To Produce the 2012 Sony Radio Academy Awards
The Radio Academy has today announced that Smooth Operations have been hired to produce the 30th Sony Radio Academy Awards, which will take place on Monday 14th May at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
Part of the UBC Media Group, Smooth Operations are one of the UK’s leading radio and TV production companies with a reputation for delivering the highest quality content across multiple platforms. Over their 20 year history, they have devised numerous successful and long-running formats for a range of clients and have managed and provided coverage for a range of major events as diverse as the Folk Awards, the UK Music Hall of Fame, the Brits, the New Orleans Mardi Gras and the Rio Carnival.
Smooth Operations’ Managing Director, John Leonard, is himself a multiple Sony Gold Award winner and a Fellow of the Radio Academy. He has also served on the Sony Radio Academy Awards Committee and joined the ranks of Sony Judges on numerous occasions.
