What the Judges Said
"This was an entry of the highest order. True 'stop what you’re doing' radio. Bringing violent offenders ‘face to face’ with family victims of crime was daring, tense and raised so many questions. But the programme unpacked the potentially dry concept of ‘restorative justice’ and provided drama, insight and the tantalising prospect of a different future. The stories of violent crime were handled expertly and sensitively. The prisoners were provoked to thought, reflection and an empathy that was new to them.It was a programme that had made a difference to all who participated in it…and the judges felt privileged to have heard it.

What the Judges Said
"A great narrative and a good mix of young people in care now and people who had experienced care system many years ago. Real lives and real stories – not always positive but understanding what the care system actually means to young people’s lives. Although the subject itself has been covered, its not been told in this way before.
